Mommy Camp at Shaggyhill Farm ~where love grows~ (2)

Annie's readying the Red, White & Blue cupcakes we made during Mommy Camp for their presentation to PaPa for his birthday.   Her Highness of Goofiness has used the entire package of candles on 7 cupcakes!

For more years than I can remember, we've been gathering at the Hartford Symphony Orchestra's Talcott Mountain Music Festival Celebrate America concert.  During the intermission, we pop on party hats and celebrate Papa's birthday.
When they were younger, my girls were convinced that thousands of people gathered each year for a concert and fireworks to celebrate their grandfather!
Magical.
These turned out better looking than tasting.  I think we may have overbaked the cupcakes or the absence of gluten messes with the absorbtion of the the jello.  I don't know, but these would need some tweaking before we tried them again.
They didn't dampen the celebratory spirit though!

This evening is such a wonderful summer tradition for us.
I am so thankful for my parents for giving us tickets each year.

Glowing fun!

The symphony is always so good!

A rain-free year meant record attendance!

Of course, we always enjoy "the duck song" and fireworks (press play below):

I am so thankful to be raising my daughters in this amazing country.
Happy 4th of July, America!
